Your Relaxation Massage begins with centering energy work that will slow your heart rate and fill you with the sensation of being in an oasis of peace. Long flowing strokes encourage the body to ease muscular tensions and initiate its natural healing mechanisms. Muscles are systematically stretched, compressed, and rolled, liberating impurities and allowing you to slip into a profound state of calmness. Quite different from Swedish massage, this is an original treatment known as Paratherapeutic Massage©. Developed by Franko Triscritti, this unique, deep relaxation technique is practiced only at My Tampa Massage.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
A manual lymphatic drainage massage (MLD) also called lymph massage is particularly useful in reducing the swelling and pain that results after cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, Brazilians, mommy makeovers, face lifts and other surgical procedures. MLD is also used in conjunction with chemotherapy, lymphedema, and detoxification. Your first session may begin as soon as a few days after your surgery or medical procedure. The session includes an in-depth consultation which helps you understand exactly what’s happening to your body and most importantly why. Your gentle lymphatic drainage massage will remove the excess fluid from your body and the results are immediate. Multiple sessions are required and reduced price packages are available.
Deep Tissue Massage
This therapeutic massage is focused on deeper tissue and structures and is intended to restore proper muscular balance and ease of movement to your body. Hands, foreams, and elbows apply firm pressure for therapeutic results that break up painful knots and trigger points allowing greater mobility and range of motion. Myofascial Release techniques paired with energy work make this massage effective in relieving deep muscle tightness and sensitivity. Deep tissue massage does not not have to be painful to be effective.
Stress Release Massage
This stress-neutralizing treatment focuses on head, neck and upper body muscles that become tense and achy. Particular attention is placed on muscle trigger points and knots. Headaches, pain and restricted range of motion can be reduced or eliminated, often with immediate results. Your session will leave your muscles feeling looser, your spine more erect, your shoulders at ease, and your heart lighter.
Hot Sea Stone Therapy
This treatment will give you an opportunity to stop and reconnect with your inner self as smooth volcanic stones release their soothing warmth into your deepest muscles, joints, and bones. This relaxing and gentle massage is an experience that will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated. Should you suffer from diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia or other malady that contraindicates traditional massage, the hot sea stones will be a welcome, holistic and healthful experience. These stones have an energy releasing quality like none other. Hand gathered from an Oregon beach, they are periodically cleaned in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and set on the hot sand to absorb the sun’s energy. This is an amazing massage experience you’ll never forget!

Together you’ll discuss and plan a course of treatment and set realistic expectations. Consultation with your doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist may be required prior to treatment sessions. As with all treatments, there is no charge for medical massage initial evaluations and continuing assessments.
